The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it truly is alarmed regarding the significant quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider position designed for status sassa intervention activities a substantial influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to enable the servicing of all customers and maximize use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
